Here at Sintonsand Gundogs I specialise in delivering the iPet Network Level 3 Canine Emergency First Aid course. Our dog first aid courses are professional but fun, held in a comfortable and relaxed environment. Courses are taught only by myself, Zoe, a former registered veterinary nurses of over a decade. Which is where my extensive knowledge and experience in dog first aid came from.

The iPET Network Level 3 Award in Canine Emergency First Aid is perfect for owners and professionals alike who want to be prepared should a pet need emergency treatment. The qualification covers the most commonly faced canine needs such as how to treat injury, dressing wounds, allergic reactions, stings, poisoning, choking, seizures, CPR, hypothermia and much more.

The qualification is an excellent balance of theoretical and practical learning to ensure Candidates have the knowledge required should they ever be faced with an emergency first aid situation.

This qualification is valid for 3 years before requiring a refresher training day.

Our courses are guided by a visual presentation and workbook with practical bandaging and CPR sessions using training aids and specialist dog CPR manikins, as well as learning life saving skills using real dogs. We use a range of ‘real life’ scenarios, photographs and videos during our workshop combined with experience and discussions to enhance your learning and understanding of each topic. Each candidate will also receive a copy of our dog first aid guide.

Courses are available as CPD accreditation (this one is PERFECT for general dog owners!) or the enhanced iPET Level 3 Award in Canine Emergency First Aid which lasts for 3 years. Both courses run together, however additional home study is required for the Level 3 qualification, which is provided.

Candidates for the iPET Level 3 Award in Canine Emergency First Aid are internally assessed and portfolios of assessed evidence are quality assured either by an iPET Network External Quality Assurer (EQA) and/ or an Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) approved by iPET Network.

Following assesment, the Level 3 certificate is awarded by post. Candidates will still be issued a CPD accrediation certificate on the day.
